There was snow up to the valley floor (1600m), but it was still a bit hard in the morning (what a surprise). From about 2000m it slowly became powdery or at least a little softer. There was enough snow, only the rough rocks had to be avoided. (But you should be able to do this with the visibility of a mole)

Powder above 2400m (we went up to 3200m). Below that, it was already quite covered, but still skiable. Last week's fresh snow was still largely untouched, but this deficiency should be remedied after the weekend.

Risks

The influence of wind was recognizable and a small cap (approx. 5cm) also helped to diligently distribute various cracks at approx. 2700m. However, this only encouraged surface slides. Further down, the crossing of steeper sunny slopes was already associated with a certain amount of mulminess, here I could imagine that it could become quite interesting in the next few days. Otherwise there were smaller slides from rocky areas.

A long hike, but it was definitely worth it, especially in the upper section. On the descent, we were met by hordes of weekend mountain pioneers. Both on skis and on snowshoes. So if Hannibal misses his army, I think it's hiding in the Sellrain.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
