A descent into the valley is possible. There is still enough snow on the north side to reach the valley 1500m on open areas. In the forest, however, there is hardly any snow at all. On the glacier itself there is enough snow to find your way. But backs and the like are blown off by the storm of the last few days. Unfortunately, you can't go everywhere without sharks in mind. No fresh snow to be seen from the last south föhn.

The whole program is there. From 3500m we found 150m of good dry snow in a pure north face. Otherwise, everything from wind-covered to sun-covered to completely soaked. A 2 for the mix, if we hadn't found the dry snow we would have given it a 1.

Risks

According to the LLB it was 1 in the morning and 2 in the afternoon, but when it warmed up in the afternoon we saw gas slopes and fresh wet snow avalanches, which would have justified a 3.

Rather bad snow. You have to search hard for some dust. Safe conditions at altitude. For downhill runs you should be early and not expect good snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
