Descent to valley (to 1300 m)

On the north side there is snow down to the valley, although often not much. On the south side, however, steep slopes up to over 2000m are free of snow. In more exposed places, watch out for stone contact.

Breakable crust
Wet snow
Powder snow

On the north side above 1900m there was mostly good powder, further down the powder was getting wetter but still good to ride. However, the amount of fresh snow was also decreasing and the ground was noticeable. Depending on the time of day, everything that is turned more towards the sun has broken or wet snow.

Risks

Old snow problem
South

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

The main danger is still the old snow problem, even if the danger spots where it can be triggered are no longer so widespread. Further up, watch out for drifting snow due to the cold temperatures and wind.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Equal

Even though the last major snowfall was a week ago, the cold temperatures/dry air meant that good snow could still be found. The upcoming cold fronts from Wednesday evening should improve the snow conditions at this altitude.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
