The descent into the valley is still easy. There is probably still 30 cm of snow at the parking lot and the slopes under the gondolas are covered in snow throughout. In the ski area, all variants are still well filled with snow and skiable. Only around the ridges, as all year round, there is very little snow. As a result, some of the entrances to lines are not very full.

The snow was only really good at high altitudes (above approx. 2800 m) and very north-facing or on flat slopes. In the basin of the Schaufelspitze still top powder. There was still about 20-30cm of powder. Often there was also some heavy dust on crust, but it was not bad to ski. Overall, however, no more than 2* are in it, because even at this time of year there is still a lot more to do on the glacier.

Risks

According to LLB over 2400m level 2 due to fresh drift snow packs. We did not observe any avalanches in the area. We also did not notice any pronounced drift snow packs or other danger signs.

With a little effort and in quite specific areas, you can still find good powder in variants. In the next few days, however, it will certainly be north-facing and high touring or switching to firn.
