Stubai-Durchquerung mit Winteraumübernachtung

Snow condition
After a relatively good day's skiing on Monday, we decided to spend another two days in the Stubai days in the Stubai Alps. We were only above 2500 m above sea level and there was still plenty of snow at this altitude, even if the amounts were below average. are below average.
Snow quality
The snow quality varies greatly. Below 2600 m, the snow cover stopped freezing through from Sunday to Monday, so there was no longer any stable snow cover. Today we also found places above that where people broke in with their skis. Otherwise, there was a more or less grippy but mostly stable snow cover. Around lunchtime, it also started to snow up in sunny spots.
Risks
At our altitude, the danger of wet snow and sliding snow was sliding snow was rather low. Yesterday, however, we were able to observe a snow slab and during the last 2 days there was a strong wind near the ridge.
Overall impression
Even if it sounds paradoxical when you see the sunny sky over Tyrol, today we mainly walked around in the clouds and without visibility on the glacier and therefore had to cancel our planned tour.
