Early summer park tours on the Stubai Glacier

Overall impression
Snow condition
Still pretty decent for the temperatures. As usual for the time of year, everything up high is now quite full. Only the ridges and ridges have been blown off by the last storm. But there is still plenty of snow towards the valley. Theoretically, it would still be possible to ski down into the valley, even if the road to the wild pit has already been cleared.
Snow quality
With temperatures of over 25 degrees in the valley, there's not much good snow left off-piste. Maybe a bit of firn early on, but you have to be quick. Then widespread, even at the top. But there was surprisingly good snow on the slopes for a long time. It was grippy and only got wet and bad 300m before the middle station.
Risks
According to the LLB at this altitude from 1 with a daily increase to 2. The temperatures have also left their mark here. You can see large wet snow avalanches everywhere, even at very high altitudes (just below 2900). You should be really early for tours. It's incomprehensible that you can still see groups at 11:30 in the lower part of their ascent....
Overall impression
Sunny day with lots of snow and a park that looks like a one. You just have to know what to expect from a day like this. You simply won't find powder or the borderline off-piste day at these temperatures, even on the glacier. But if you accept what's possible (park, slopes), it's a really good day!
