I have never been to the region, but I think that it is normal to start at the parking lot Obere Issalm without problems, but there is also more snow here than in other years.
Snow quality
Firn with good timing. It was good but mostly not perfect, as most of the slopes have already been skied and you can easily feel the tracks. East slope of Wetterkreuzkogel was good at half past nine, think nine would have been even better. NW slope of the rear Karlespitze was good at 12. Good skiing up to the edge of the forest, but more surfing than edging in places as it was deeper. In the forest it was rideable in the "bob run".
Risks
Being on the road early is the be-all and end-all, otherwise stress-free. There are also some big things lying around on the west side.
Overall impression
Spring as it should be :-) Probably even better firn on untracked slopes, but that's complaining on a high level.
