Snow condition
Actually it would only be 2 stars because the valley descent is actually no longer possible. However, you can get down somehow and there is a really good base on the mountain. Practically all the usual gullies and slopes are quite well filled with snow and are really just waiting for the next dump. Naturally, however, at this time of year you have to watch out for sharks on anything facing south.
Snow quality
Well, what do you expect with the temperatures plus sunshine again and again: almost summer snow everywhere. I also think that there was no good firn today as the night wasn't clear. But I can't say for sure, as I was probably at the glacier too late (11:00).
Risks
According to the LLB, 2 throughout, with the daily pattern changing from steep slopes above 2400mh to wet snow avalanches below 200mh. On the mountain I only saw one medium-sized wet snow slide in northeastern exposure.
Overall impression
Weather better than expected. Still quite a lot of snow on the mountain, which at least makes some variants possible. But real freeriding is out of the question. That's why we went to the park after a few runs. It's pretty perfect at lunchtime ;)
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
