Snow condition
Above Gamsgarten you feel like you're in the depths of winter. The 50+cm over the weekend do the rest, and the descent through the Gruabn would be possible, unfortunately the road below is already being cleared, so there is still a little way to go.
Snow quality
Almost wild snow until 11 o'clock, then heavier and heavier due to the sun, but still fun.
Risks
Small loose snow slides were already visible in the morning. From lunchtime onwards, the snow was not to be underestimated, with more and more snow coming down in steeper parts as the day progressed, and a few slides caused by individual riders were observed.
Overall impression
Who would have expected something like this in May?
After we were greeted at the Gamsgarten with a snow blower, the anticipation was great. Although the weather forecast predicted that the snowfall would subside around 9 a.m., it was still snowing heavily until midday. After a coffee, however, the sun was able to fight its way through the snowfall again and again and we were able to enjoy the incredibly fluffy fresh snow.
No queuing and pure joy.
Touring skis are recommended for tomorrow, as there is only limited activity and a lot has been tracked today. But you're sure to have fun even without them!

Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
