It has snowed a little from time to time, but this was only a visual improvement, away from the pistes there are now a few cm of snow on glacier ice or rocks above about 2600 m. Snowmaking is well underway outside the glaciated areas, soon you will probably be able to ski down to the Gamsgarten.

Slightly better, still hard, but grippy slopes. More in demand for racing skis than powder skis.

Risks

Without snow, there are hardly any avalanches, the glaciers are still wide open, even if some are now lightly snowed in, making the crevasses less easy to see. One or two "freeriders" are sure to be hailing in soon.

Overall impression

OK for a few hours, but even if you really want to hit the slopes, it's not really worth the drive, at least not until at least one of the chairlifts opens.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
