Early season, but more than last season (remember ski carrying to the Rotadl...)As a base, the snowfall 2 weeks ago didn't last, but the fresh snow was enough for off-piste, the classic freeride routes still have to wait.Eissee station at 2600 measured 33cm of fresh snow, but it felt a little more, 40-50cm depending on the wind!
Snow quality
It was already very cold during the snowfall, so the fresh snow was correspondingly loose and light. Almost too fluffy, a bit more compact and you wouldn't have caught the ground...
Risks
Nothing noticed, but generally very windy contrary to the forecast and snowfall continued at least until midday. Don't forget the crevasses, the (steep) slope next to the Daunferner T-bar lifts was also skied.
Overall impression
Snow better than expected, but almost completely whiteout. Cold but above-average start to the season. Hardly any activity, a few race teams from Italy and Bulgaria, they too had probably hoped for better weather...
Maybe don't bring the best skis :)
