Thanks to snowmaking, there is enough snow on the slopes to reach the Gamsgarten mountain station. Away from the slopes, there is virtually no snow at all.

It must have rained quite heavily during the night from Friday to Saturday. At least the pistes were very icy and hard and outside the piste you could see a "blanket of snow" influenced by the rain.

Risks

The greatest danger at the moment is certainly still from crevasses, but for once there was still no trace on the steep slope between Daunferner and Eisjochferner. As there was not much off-piste skiing, there were no avalanches to be seen apart from a very small slab of snow.

At 8:15 a.m. we queued for 20 minutes as only the Gamsgarten gondola is open at the moment (the new 3S cable car is due to open on 22.10.). Then did a few laps on the icy slopes. At least I stood on the board again, but that was it.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
