Low overall, although a lot has come down in the last few days. Crevasses are still wide open and will remain so for a while yet

Snow quality

The snow quality was quite good! Up to 40cm of cold, fluffy powder snow in places. Getting heavier during the day, especially on sunny sections of the slope.

Risks

Two large snow planks have already come off in the ski area (both involving people)Danger is now not only coming from the crevasses!!! According to the Tiroler Tageszeitung newspaper, two people had to be rescued from crevasses in the Stubai Glacier area on Saturday alone and at least four people have fallen... of course, everyone is keen for the first powder turns of the season, but everyone has to decide for themselves whether it's worth taking the risk at the moment

Overall impression

You definitely can't do much off the slopes yet, but it was still a very nice start to the season - pure sun in the morning - slopes and park in good condition - great atmosphere due to park opening - hardly any waiting times at the lifts - and the first powder snow turns
