Actually quite ok for October and great compared to last year. There is snow up to the Fernau middle station but only 10cm on stones. From Gamsgarten onwards the pistes are open and from Eisgrat onwards you can ski a little off-piste. There was 5-10 cm of powder on a hard surface today. Around the Daunscharte it is currently at its best.
Snow quality
Nice powder which became a bit heavier during the day due to the sun. Nice and fluffy in the shade.
Risks
Small loose snow slide observed. But the much greater danger comes from the crevasses, which are currently still wide open.
Overall impression
Beautiful day with nice powder turns unfortunately not so much fresh snow (5-10cm) but more than satisfactory for October. Sun wind clouds it was all there.
