Skitour auf den Wetterkreuzkogel bei leichtem Schneefall

Overall impression
Snow condition
Possible with skins from the parking lot. If you choose your line well, you can descend without coming into contact with stones. In the forest, however, you still have to be careful. Above 2000 m it has a good base for upcoming snowfalls
Snow quality
Some of the powder is still super fine. The fresh snow has already settled slightly but is still light and fluffy in many sheltered areas. On the south side, the snow cover is harsh and in the ridge area heavily blown away or drift snow packs. Large cornices to the left of the summit.
Risks
No avalanche activity was observed. Danger is probably mainly on the north side in steep terrain. Only some loose snow has come loose in smaller gullies below 40.
Overall impression
Because of the magnificent light atmosphere and some really good snow, it gets a solid 3 stars. We were completely alone on this otherwise heavily frequented tour.
