Snow condition
Some ski routes on the Stubai Glacier are now skiable, but of course it is still possible to encounter rocks. Closed snow cover up to approx. 2400m. There is now also some snow on the south side.
Snow quality
Approx. 10-15cm of pressed, somewhat heavier fresh snow that has fallen over the week. This is mostly on hard ground. Good skiing overall.
Risks
1 for Tirol is fine. Partial drift snow on our east-facing descent. On the ascent, a gritty layer was visible under the fresh snow on the west side, which could possibly be dangerous with larger amounts of fresh snow.
Overall impression
Good day in the field, which makes you want more, especially with regard to the weather maps!
