It is only white on the glacier. Next to it, as already described in other Cr's, a carpet of spots and stone contact is to be expected here. If there is no snow soon, it's all over.
Snow quality
The snow surface is hard and windswept right up to the higher altitudes. Downhill fun is not really on the cards.
Risks
I would exercise great caution on steep slopes in the northern sector above 2600m. On the south side, the snow cover is already completely built up. Be aware of the risk of injury outside glaciated terrain.
Overall impression
The sun was nice, but otherwise there is nothing to do off the beaten track. A few tours can be undertaken on the glacier. Conditions for ridges could be worse.
