hmm, snow... what was that again??? Really little. I have the feeling that there used to be more here in the fall. Stones almost everywhere. Stones again and again on the descent to the starting point of the tour. As almost always, the crevasses on the way to the summit are limited. Only in the area below the summit are they quite open. Sometimes it's really tight to have any snow at all on the tour.

There's everything that's only partially fun: wind-pressed, frozen, wind-covered, etc. Only very rarely do you find nice, rideable snow.

Risks

No level according to the LLB. It also mentions the risk of falling through crevasses as the greatest danger. I would also mention the many rocks.

I've never seen the glacier with so little snow. I can't remember seeing so little snow on this tour either. Nice to be out in good weather. Probably one of the few opportunities for a nice tour at the moment. For me, after last week's attempts at skiing and this tour, that was it for skiing until it snows again.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
