The 10cm of new snow that has fallen (snow line at around 1700, but then rained back down to around 2000) is only visually impressive, with a lot of good will you feel like you're in October, not August, and if you really need to, you can make a few turns in a few off-piste areas, but it doesn't really make sense and you can always expect to come into contact with stones. There are still stones on the slopes, where they are currently partly covered by the thin layer of fresh snow, just like off-piste...

Snow quality

Heavy and wind-influenced fresh snow, with stones, ice and artificial snow underneath. It was worse, but not very much.

Risks

Although the main dangers are still crevasses and rocks, you now also have to watch out for avalanches. Several snow slabs were triggered today, some with surprisingly large avalanche edges. However, as almost no fresh snow has fallen, the situation can still be described as manageable.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
