Snow condition

Approx. 10-15 centimeters of fresh snow, but still very poor snow conditions for mid-December. Off-piste skiing only possible to a very limited extent.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne

The fresh snow has fallen under the influence of the wind, but compared to the artificial snow of the last few weeks it's still quite nice to ride.

Risks

In the ski area, a 2 was issued, the LLB warned of drifting snow in high alpine areas, and a few snow slabs came down in the areas mentioned by the LLB, in very steep slopes behind terrain edges, and small snow slabs could be seen in the two steep slopes around the Stubai Wildspitz lift and below the Rotadl lift. Some of the wind signs were clearly visible, but some people probably think they are invulnerable with an airbag backpack.crevasses and rocks are of course still to be considered.

Overall impression

2 von 5 Sterne

Even though there aren't many variants that are skiable at the moment, it was nice to make a few turns in natural snow again. The weather also improved over the course of the morning and it was worth going to Stubai today.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
