Snow condition
Snow conditions are now good, four stars are not given, as below 1600m there are still a lot of stones and branches in the forest and above about 2100m there is a lot of snow, but one or the other stone is still not completely snowed in (or hidden as a shark...).
Snow quality
Yes, it doesn't get much better than this. About 20cm of cold fluffy powder new from yesterday on a still quite soft but already settled base from the last heavy snowfall.
Risks
overall much more relaxed than in the last few days. Nevertheless, above 2200m you should watch out for older wind loads, which are not easy to spot due to the fresh snow. We therefore decided to break off the tour a little earlier. With a little more willingness to take risks, it might still have been possible.
Overall impression
I don't give it five stars because the avalanche situation is still a bit tricky and there's not much snow at the bottom of the forest. Nevertheless, that's complaining on a high level after a great day and especially after the long dry spell without snow in December.
