There are many large, open crevasses on the glacier. From the tree line it gets very thin. But otherwise a solid base from around 2400m. In the last few days there has been about 10-15cm of fresh snow at alpine altitudes.

On the north-facing, well-protected slopes you will find groomed powder that is a dream to ski. Otherwise you'll find windsnow, firn, slush and predominantly spring-like conditions.

Risks

Pretty relaxed. No avalanches were observed and the snow cover in all areas is well bonded and not prone to disruption. You should certainly pay attention to slope warming and wet snow avalanches in the terrain. The greatest danger certainly comes from the many open crevasses on the glacier.

Overall impression

Perfect weather, magnificent views and great touring conditions. A brilliant north-facing descent from the Suldenspitze with the finest powder makes freeriders' hearts beat faster. Hopefully not the last face shots of the season in the Alps.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
