Snow condition
I don't have much more to add to freak's description a few days ago. The slopes in Sulden still more or less reach down into the valley (ski area already closed though), still a lot of snow on the north side. In Trafoi, which is a little lower down, it doesn't reach all the way down. For the ascent to the Berglhütte you need to carry about 100-200m. North faces are all very bare at the moment, see photo.
Snow quality
Due to the icy conditions in places and the avalanche furrow in the gully, we didn't ski along the ascent, but instead took the normal route and the Trafoi ice gully to Trafoi and then the bus back to Sulden. On the Ortler plateau and the Bärenloch, the powder was easy to ski, otherwise there was a lot of wind. Great firn further down, but unfortunately most of it is covered with avalanche cones on the Trafoi side.
Risks
Generally stable, but there is some drift snow that is prone to disruption. You should keep your eyes open.
Overall impression
All in all a great tour, unfortunately the gully is no longer passable. Ski tours in Sulden and later towards the Stilfser Joch should still be possible for quite a while.
