Snow condition
The warm temperatures have hardly had any effect at higher altitudes, further down it's getting lean, skiing down into the valley is possible in places. Lines are still severely restricted in places.
Snow quality
North is still good, the other expos are very variable. In addition to the sun, the wind also had its influence. On our run yesterday, we had a patchwork of 2m pow and cover. Sheltered from the wind and north should be fine.
Risks
Quite relaxed. Sliding snow is currently dominant, everything except the north has a crack somewhere. Variants are therefore very limited. Drift snow has only been noticed very locally. Of course, the drifting is visible these days and what is soft has been blown there in many cases. Surface rime etc. I haven't noticed any. Should therefore be quite good when the #instapowdump passes through in the north.
Overall impression
You can still have fun. Yesterday there was a completely unclimbed cirque 200m off the official route. There is still an option at the moment :)
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
