Snow condition
According to the snow report, 1.20 m on the mountain, which is a good figure. Most of the stones are now covered, you can ride around the surface without getting sweaty. Individual stones under rock bands can still be nasty. Occupational hazard... Route selection is not a problem. The descent from the Nenzingerstal via the Ziehweg is easily possible.
Snow quality
The last snow was on 04.01 - the snow has already settled and compacted well, about 10-15 cm of fresh snow. On the whole, the snow had fallen without any noticeable influence from wind or heat. Only in some exposures did the wind blow through and shift the snow. Drifting snow is dangerous, but in this case it is good to ski.
Risks
LLB 2 According to the report, the snow fell under the influence of strong winds. In the terrain, however, it is already well settled and compacted, we have not observed any particularly dangerous situations. There are smaller pockets of drifting snow behind individual terrain crests, which were also warned of in the LLB. In our lines, however, everything was ok, even in terrain up to 40 degrees.
Overall impression
Great touring day with perfect weather and lots of first lines in soft powder. If you know your way around the touring terrain, you'll find a few options for the next few days.
