Snow condition
There was about 20-30cm of fresh snow over the last 2 days. Above 1800m it was significantly more than below. In general, you still have to watch out for stones, as there was quite a bit of wind above 1800m. Ridges and slopes exposed to the wind are quite clear. But all other slopes are perfect for powdering.
Snow quality
Because there is more snow on the Soko than on the Nova, the extremely hard base under the fresh snow makes less of a difference. Today it was very cold and the snow was therefore extremely airy and really fun. As I said, the base is hard. In the lower part of the Nenzigas, most of the snow has already gone and it doesn't make the descent any easier.
Risks
Today, like yesterday, it was another 2 above 1800m... we had hardly any concerns due to the airy snow, because even if sluff came along, nothing bigger came of it.
Overall impression
Unfortunately, the visibility meant that the ski day turned out to be a little worse than we expected. But tomorrow you could have a great day at Soko. Anyone who has time off should go!!!
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
