Snow condition
There are still 2 stars, as we already have a good base above 2200m, but there is still a lot missing further down. In gullies and north-facing slopes there is also a decent base further down, but that just refers to the slopes with the criteria. Above 2200m, I would rather avoid the south-facing slopes because of the nasty snow-covered mouths.
Snow quality
In the morning, there was still extremely good snow in all exposures above 2200m. Unfortunately, this decreased significantly during the course of the day. From around 12 noon, the snow also started to get soggy at 2500m in the south. But until the evening we had great snow in all other exposures. Below 2000m the snow was quite wet everywhere and not so great. Tomorrow it's probably going to be hard in the morning.
Risks
There was some sluff on slopes around 35-40 degrees, but it never got big. On the south-facing slopes, the self-releases started as early as 11 o'clock, but there were never any big slabs. All in all quite safe. Today there was a 2 above the tree line and a 1 below.
Overall impression
We had a gigantic day today. Uphill in a tshirt and always powder downhill. What more could you want? Tomorrow will be great up there too ... if you don't have to work ;)
