After the fresh snow this week, a good base, or rather a normal base for the time of year. Yesterday was the last snowfall, approx. 40cm of soft pow invites you to ski. With the exception of blown-off ridges and south-facing slopes that start to slide in the midday sun, the runs are possible everywhere. Bushes, stones etc. are mostly gone. Descent via Nenzigasttal possible without any problems. Actually 3.5 stars...

The sun was extremely strong the whole day today (bluebird...) and has affected the snow accordingly. Initially fine and deep pow on the north side, but heavier to sticky by the afternoon. Generally strong wind influence and large packs of drifting snow. Heavy and wet on the south side from 10 am. In the afternoon there were already wet snow slides. Be careful when crossing out of the Wasserstuben valley into the ski area!!! The sun already has power!

Risks

In the area around the Ameisenscharte and Lob Spitze there are many and large snow packs! Today, even below 2100m, there were settling noises. There was a lot of fresh snow, which quickly blows along from 35 degrees. Not quite easy...

Great touring day with finally some real fresh snow. Too bad the sun was already so strong today. The wet snow slides on the way out were worrying. Nevertheless, we had some good runs in the morning. The risk of avalanches should not be underestimated due to both drifting snow and wet snow.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
