Snow condition
After the heavy rainfall up to the gondola mountain station, the base in the forest is very thin again. Above the tree line there is a solid base. The amount of fresh snow is difficult to judge - at the top it's probably 30cm, at 2000m, 20cm due to the rain and wet snow.
Snow quality
At the top there is 3-star compact, partly damp powder that is easy to ski. Further down, a light crust has formed from the rain. Above 2300m, the snow quality should be much better.
Risks
Extremely tense - There are avalanches everywhere in the region, many dry and wet snow avalanches. The fresh snow from the previous day is extremely susceptible to disruption and the slope warming on the corresponding slopes also poses a great danger. Under no circumstances should you go off-piste above 2000m.
Overall impression
Rather disappointing - after the extreme precipitation yesterday, we had high hopes for powder. At the beginning of the week, however, the conditions were brilliant... But it was nice to see the sun, although there was a lot of waiting as the lifts were completely iced over.
