Snow report Sun head, 12/27/2018
The tours are a lot of fun high up...not so much at the bottom.

Snow condition
Below 2000m you can expect scratched skis, above that it gets better but it's far from a dream. However, the pistes in the area are very well prepared. I would only start tours above 2000m.
Snow quality
If you look above 2000m, you can still find some pretty nice powder. From time to time there are icy to hard spots. But otherwise the snow is acceptable to ski.
Risks
You can find considerable amounts of drift snow in gullies. Better watch out and don't take any risks.... there will be even better conditions.
Overall impression
Quite a nice day, alternating between piste and a few powder turns. But there should be a lot more snow to come. Sorry that there are no pictures...the cell phone was cold again. Tomorrow I will try to shoot some.
