Exposition
Snow condition
Winterwondeland again, but only from 1500 meters. Descents into the valley only on north-facing slopes or on ford trails. Always in contact with the ground in open terrain below 1400 meters
Snow quality
Snow quality was very fine. 20 - 30 cm of powder. Partly wind-pressed. The only thing that spoiled the fun was that I kept getting through to the hard old snow, especially in the steep terrain
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
Above the tree line in steep terrain, behind the edges of the terrain and in gullies and hollows, you can expect small to medium-sized drift snow that is susceptible to disruption, as well as loose snow. I triggered a medium one myself, but it was easy to handle. So caution is advised.
Avalanche activity
Altitude: 2300 m
Overall impression
Cold, sunny tour in the afternoon with good to very good powder snow
