Snow condition
Skinning up and down possible from PP. No rock or ground contact on the entire tour. Free choice of route, except for the blown-off areas above the tree line, possible without any problems. Start at approx. 900m, there 10cm, then very quickly becoming more, from 1400m, over 50cm of fresh snow!!!
Snow quality
Searched yesterday, found today. Here it was the powder from the nordstau. Unfortunately already a bit heavy. After the tour at the PP, 12h, (unfortunately again) +3°C. Very nice unblown deep powder in the forest. Above the tree line there are alternating blown-off areas, also in the flanks, with knee-deep blown-in areas. If you stay in gullies and cirques, it's definitely fun ... see descent pictures.
Risks
The 3-pointer for Tirol today is totally fine. However, it wasn't a tense 3 for us. We didn't hear any settling noises, we didn't see any loose snow slides, we didn't see any snow slabs coming down and we didn't trigger any (in the shady steep terrain close to the ridge). I did try it at the entrance to the gully (picture 4) (by swinging down very hard and immediately exiting again), but was unsuccessful ;-)
Overall impression
Def. one of the better days this season. For 5 stars, the Pow shouldn't have been quite so difficult. Great ski touring day, with a climbing passage to the summit, then a super descent, in pretty good weather and then all alone in the terrain.
There'll probably be more powder tonight. Too bad it will be so warm again on Monday ... to be continued
