Snow report Tannheimer Valley, 01/21/2018

Overall impression
Snow condition
Approx. 20cm of fresh snow fell during the night. In general, the snow conditions in the Tannheimer Valley are very good. There was virtually no contact with the ground and everything is closed in the forest too. Due to the strong wind, however, the ridges and crests in the summit area were blown off.
Snow quality
Unfortunately it was too warm when the fresh snow fell and therefore partly soaked and fluffy. Better from 1500m but not as fluffy.
Risks
There was a triple today, which I would represent in the steep terrain and near the summit. A lot of snow was transported by the wind. Cornices formed and hollows were filled with drift snow. Below and in the forest it was more relaxed.
Overall impression
Today we would have needed a few more vertical meters. Nevertheless, there were some really nice lines
