Fits well on the tour. The southern slope of the Aggenstein doesn't have too much snow, of course, but that's normal after a few days of sunshine. You have to be careful here, especially directly below the summit upswing, so as not to be leveraged out by a protruding stone on the descent.

On the south side, we had perfect firn on the Aggenstein shortly after 10. Despite the continuous steepness, you could really step on the gas :-)On the north side, there was always a cap near the crest, but it was rideable. Then 5cm of powder on a hard surface, which was good to ski. From about 1400-1500 meters there was only the hard surface left, because it had rained instead of snowed. Here it was rideable again but not enjoyable.

Risks

On the south side, we had no concerns today due to the night-time radiation. On the north side, in our opinion, the whole thing has already settled well at this altitude. But you can clearly see here that there was a lot of wind. It can definitely look different further up.

Subjective 4 stars :-) The Aggenstein has been on our list for a long time, today it finally worked out. The ascent was great with crampons, we only had to walk the last very steep ascent to the summit. Spontaneously, we extended the whole thing to the described tour :-) Top!

It's hard to say whether it will firn up again tomorrow: it will be warmer, but depending on how strong the wind gets, it could ruin it again.
