Snow condition

50 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 1100 m)

M. In my opinion, the best snow conditions so far this winter, even in the light forest it could be decent by now.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Wet snow
Powder snow

Damp powder snow. Rides quite well because it is even. But every now and then you have to be careful not to fall forward. At the bottom we had the choice between a fresh slope with 5 cm of fresh snow and pure deep snow - the slope was much more fun. Bottom end of 3 stars.

Risks

West

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

No special observations made on the tour. There was a lot of blasting here this morning - but due to poor visibility I can't say whether it was successful. The amount of fresh snow (now still wet) and the wind are certainly very critical.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Worse

I think the snow quality will suffer with the nightly freezing. However, the avalanche situation could ease somewhat quickly and this has done the snow situation a lot of good :-)

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
