it hasn't gotten any better since yesterday. south sides are petering out so fast that you can watch. to get back down to the valley, a ski slope is pretty much indispensable. snow, north side, from about 1000m. enough for free skiing, from about 1500m. "always watch out for sharks!"

after yesterday's top conditions on the north side, we went one better today. in the wind-calm areas on the snow side (vulgo = gullies), there is still sensational pow to be had. although the "powder pressure" in this area is already very high, with a little "commitment" you can still get untracked powder under your poles.

Risks

safe. on steeper slopes (>40°) there is some sluff, especially when the fresh drift snow lies on the ice crust from the "big rain". but it is too little to trigger large-scale slides.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

another four, for a top power day, in the täle.
