Overall impression
Altitude
1000 - 2100m
Avalanche warning level
moderate (2)
Exposition
Snow condition
Descents into the now well possible from 1400 meters snow cover is good in ridge and summit areas snow was removed by wind
Snow quality
A tad worse than yesterday, preserved powder snow on pure windy north-facing slopes, partly wind-pressed. Wherever the sun had a longer effect, there was rotten snow or broken snow...a bit of everything. I opted for powder in the north gully (-;
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
Not quite as tricky as at the weekend. Wind signs clearly visible. Drift snow deposits must be observed.
Overall impression
Today's wind made it a bit worse, but with a bit of intuition you could find nice set powder on the north side.
