Snow condition

15 cm fresh snow
Blown backs

Above 1600m it was ok. Below that it's really thin, streams etc. are an issue here. You can still reach the valley via the piste.

Hard, pressed snow
Powder snow

Blown free or hard pressed on the ascent along the ridge. On the slope further west, the line also looked rather wind-pressed. We skied a little further east, where wind influence was also noticeable but the fresh snow was still largely even. However, there was not enough fresh snow to cover old boards and tracks. As a result, there were repeated bumps from below and the handbrake had to be applied.

Risks

South-West West North-West

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

Drift snow is an issue locally. No other observations made, yesterday some steep lines were skied in the Tannheimers, everything seems to have been stable.

Worse

Nice line :-) Surrounding peaks like Ponten and Kühgundkopf were already completely tracked today.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
