Feierabendtour auf das Zirleseck mit gutem Pulver

Snow condition
Quite ok on the route. We descended via the freeride area at the bottom, where the last slope has no base. Otherwise it went surprisingly well although you can see blades of grass sticking out. I think there's a hard green layer there, and slopes exposed to the sun and especially the wind have hardly any snow. I've never seen Gaishorn (see picture) and Rohnenspitze with so little snow near the ridge during the season.
Snow quality
Fine powder :-) 20-30 cm at the top. With an unfavorable choice of track, you can sometimes get through onto the old tracks. Partly slightly wind-affected, but you can get around it as far as possible. In the freeride terrain, only about 10 cm on a hard surface, but no wind influence at all. Also great to ride.
Risks
The Bavarian LWD had a 3 today from 1800m, the Tyrolean up to 2200 a 1 ;-) The 2 as an average would have worked well for me today. There were definitely loads of snow. We therefore abandoned the south ridge to the Rohnenspitze, the last eastern slope that you have to cross before the summit ascent was clearly too tricky for us on foot. On the other side, between Ponten and Zirleseck, there were some steep variants. There was sluff on one track, otherwise no observations there.
Overall impression
Very nice ski tour :-) Felt a bit like December: finest powder but blades of grass still sticking out.
