Snow condition
The tour is just about OK, but there are already some very brown patches. In general, the rain has eaten a lot, it looks much worse than a week ago. As my colleague described yesterday: you need a slope at the bottom.
Snow quality
Wet. OK skiing on the piste. I'm not really a fan of piste tours, but this afternoon I was expecting the best snow there. The fresh snow this morning was absolutely cosmetic, there wasn't even a centimeter.
Risks
On the south side of the Krinnenspitze you can see a fairly large slide from the ridge. I deliberately didn't go to the north-facing cirques in the Tannheimer Tal today, as the risk of a slide from the west or east-facing slopes next to them was disproportionate to the expected snow quality. With the forecast of clear nights and sunny days, I think firn will soon form where there is any snow at all.
Overall impression
Superb weather and some exercise in the fresh air, but nothing more.
Next week could bring good firn conditions, let's see if they can be used or if other things take priority...
