just enough. on the north side, from approx. 1150m, the snow cover is still almost complete. ascent and descent are easily possible. however, you have to maneuver around a bit in blown-off and apery areas.

all expos with n and o, hard as a board and they stayed that way all day. everything with expo s, from about 11h relatively soft and very pleasant to ride. the base wears flat and everywhere, the fresh snow on it is heavy with sleet, but quite good to ride.

Risks

we were out today below 2000m and the one from the bavarian lawi fits well there. there's simply not enough fresh snow for all kinds of avalanches, even in the areas where it has been transported. the danger of falling in the icy northern expos is much more of an issue.

one star for the beautiful weather.
the second for the surprisingly good snow conditions and the third for the fact that almost nobody was out and about (we met a total of 6 people).

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
