Exposition
Snow condition
15cm of fresh snow on a hard base. You can get through mountain pine belts reasonably well. Exposed ridges were previously free of snow and are now only covered with fresh snow. Ponten only makes sense with a board up to the saddle. Below 1400m, the descent into the valley is mostly only possible thanks to fresh snow on a closed piste.

Snow quality
Little wind, therefore super powder. However, too little to prevent the crust from breaking through. In addition, the diffuse radiation in the morning and the rapidly rising 0° limit were enough to immediately create a minimal cap below 1700m. But it didn't interfere with driving. Quite heavy near the valley.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
The fresh snow came with little wind. There was no board in a predestined gully. However, the binding to the base is poor. On the ascent it gets uncomfortable above 30°, on the descent from +/- 40° the sluff immediately joins in. Apart from terrain traps, the risk of burial should be low, but the risk of getting carried away is high. The sluff took me about 50m. As the gully became flatter and wider, it wasn't incredibly dangerous, but it was an unpleasant feeling.
Avalanche activity
Dry loose snow avalanche
Altitude: 1800 m
Overall impression
Great atmosphere! Due to all the sluff in the Bschießer summit gully, I abandoned the plan to ski the summit gully from the Ponten, as this is even narrower. Either it takes you with it, or it gets cleared out on the first ski cut and you have no more powder. So I made a few nice turns down the Stuibental. I still need to work on my sluff management...
