Dust on Crust and clouds at the Krinnenspitze

Snow condition
Start on the slope at 1100 meters without any problems. At the bottom, however, the first large patches of snow are blocked out - it won't last forever from the bottom. The top of the slope was still great. We weren't on the ridge, we turned around at just under 1800 meters because we were completely in the clouds.
Snow quality
More like 5cm than 10cm of fresh snow, of really good quality. Unfortunately, you get quite hard hits from the hard layer underneath, so short turns were the order of the day in the terrain. The best part was the upper part of the piste, where the surface was nice and smooth and it was easy to carve :-) Towards the bottom, the snow naturally got wetter.
Risks
Fresh snow was not bound and therefore did not slide on the hard layer. As I said, we weren't close to the ridge.
Overall impression
Nice short tour in the evening :-) I always enjoy after-season tours on closed pistes. Towards the middle of the week it might be worth looking for firn again. The powder is most fun on smooth ground in relatively flat terrain.
