Snow from the parking lot. There are only four places where there is a brief lack of snow. A cleared road has to be crossed twice. Far down by the parking lot and in the flat section after the piste there is a few meters of snow missing. But it works with skis on ;-) As far as I know, there is currently no other tour in the Tannheimer Tal that can be done without carrying skis. At the end of April, that's worth three stars for me :-)

Off-road summer snow with a sinking depth of 5-10 cm. Really cool to ride with a clear high-low impulse in the bend. Not particularly fast, of course, but very even. On the piste, much less sinking depth, but a somewhat uneven surface in places. Also good to ride, but a bit worse.

Risks

I found it stable. There are no old chutes or mouths etc. to be seen along the route.

Just before I was about to leave, the sun came out and just before the parking lot, a deer crossed the slope right in front of me - very cool atmosphere!

With the rain over the next few days, it's possible that you'll soon have to carry your skis down. Although old pistes have often surprised me positively in this respect. The gullies on the Ponten and the north side of the Rohnenspitze are certainly worthwhile for even longer.
