Winterland in the Oberjoch

Snow condition
At the parking lot in Oberjoch there was about 15cm of fresh snow, much more on the ascent, on the north side at about 1450m there was a good 30cm and sometimes more. As the temperatures were so warm in the days before the snowfall, almost everything melted away in the Oberjoch. That's why the 20cm (+-) of fresh snow had to cope without a base. After the snowfall there is a continuous blanket of snow, I hope that the temperatures stay cold and that there will be more soon.
Snow quality
Powder at its finest, cold, light and fluffy. In the cold temperatures of -5 degrees, the snow was well preserved the whole time.
Risks
The fresh snow fell on "Apere" spots, both on the south and north sides. As we also wanted to protect our equipment, we mainly skied on grassy slopes. The dangers of stones, roots and streams are still great. Avalanches were not "yet" an issue today.
Overall impression
Finally fresh snow, great weather and 2 beautiful descents. Better than last time, started without great expectations and arrived at the car with a grin on my face.
