compared to last year, sensational. you can reach the valley even without a ski slope, at least on the north side. the south side is not yet completely covered.
Snow quality
as expected, not frozen through overnight. therefore start on non-supporting but icy surface. from about 1300m then supporting. above about 1700m then even a few cm of fresh snow, but very heavy and incredibly bumpy. right there then in the descent, over about 200hm good conditions. below that again rather unfun ...

wet snow and sliding snow were the topic today. ascent possible in a t-shirt (short sleeve!!!) and saw some larger sliding snow slides, which probably started during the night, during the snowfall. on the descent then the usual snow balls, which arise with warm fresh snow.

Overall impression
if the unbelievable amounts of rain predicted, especially for the coming thursday, are to be expected in the allgäu, below 2000m, there is unlikely to be a continuous snow cover. but let's see ...
