There is still plenty of snow at all altitudes. The start from All'Acqua is very good.

Breakable crust
Wet snow

Powder snow
Jelly snow

Everything was there today. In the morning it unfortunately rained up to about 1800 meters. Above 2000 the north-facing slopes are nice and powdery. South-facing slopes are quite difficult right up to the top. The descent was no fun at the bottom due to the rain and the heat.

Risks

Abort the tour
Diurnal warming
Much water in the snow cover
North

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

Some old avalanches are still clearly visible. Probably from the large amounts of fresh snow in recent weeks. Today's snow report was +2. Apart from the warming, there weren't many danger signs to be seen, especially on the south-facing slopes. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach the summit due to the poor visibility.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Equal

Full hut in the Bedretto. There are now regularly 30-40 cars there at night. Around midday there were probably 100. Unfortunately, the rain spoiled the tour a bit at the bottom. The upper third of the tour was fantastic. Too bad we didn't quite reach the summit.
