Exposition

Snow condition

4 von 5 Sterne
5 cm fresh snow
Descent to valley (to 1400 m)

The base in Bedretto at 2000m is quite good and you can easily ski down into the valley on the north side. Couloirs are well filled and, if not littered with old avalanche cones, easy to ski. Some carrying is certainly necessary on the south side.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Powder snow
Wind drifted snow

Very variable. Left turns in spring snow, right turns in powder and then back onto bare ice directly into drift snow accumulations.

Wind drifted snow

East

Intensity: no wind

Risks

North-West

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

A few centimetres of fresh snow and a lot of wind have created quite some accumulations in the lee, which could easily be released on the hard surface. Manageable with good route planning. Sliding snow slides have cleared entire slopes.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne
Equal

Bedretto delivers once again. Simply unbelievably good terrain. Great days with lots of new input and a super group. Delicious food on the Cristallina. Dolce vita in Ticino.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
