Variations of snow cover

The current level in Al Aqua is approx. 15cm, set Pow, without a significant base. It gets more at altitude. At approx. 2000m, in wind-protected areas max. 50cm, even without a significant base. Exposed areas (backs, ridges) are heavily blown off. Stone contact again and again. Unfortunately, this can hardly be avoided.

Risks

No warning signs
South

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Act. there is too little snow in the area for larger avalanches. Today, some (few) loose snow slides on the sunny side. Be careful in areas where the wind has calmed down, as there is sometimes a lot of packed snow.

Overall impression

Worse

If you want to go on an active ski tour, you will find plenty of snow here on the ascent; a defensive and anticipatory skiing style is advisable on the descent. The main descents, which are now piste-like, are quite good. In the terrain, only good in blown-in gullies and hollows. All crossings over ridges and ridges bring stone contacts.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
