the cr refers to the period: 19-22.12.22. as always during südstau, the bedretto was well served. presumably the act. there is also one of the few places in the alps where you can ski reasonably in the terrain. since word has probably gotten around in the meantime, it was quite full every day and all standard tours have been skied in. in bedretto there is enough snow on the north to east side, above about 1400m, to be able to ski tour properly. i didn't catch a shark. on the other side of the valley you can safely forget it. the nufenen pass road is cleared up to all'aqua, there is limited parking and a public bus stop from airolo. last bus 17.30h.

Snow quality

3 von 5 Sterne
Hard, pressed snow
Breakable crust
Powder snow

the last snowfall was on 16.12. on the north and east sides there is still powder snow. on the south side there is not enough snow to ski down.

Risks

Fresh avalanches
Diurnal warming
South-West West

Wind intensity: High (40 – 60 km/h)

on the north side, some loose snow slides from steep gullies. in the course of the day, wet snow slides from strongly sunlit flanks. the relaxed two from the swiss lawi, fits for the area. yesterday afternoon, strong winds came up, which will have brought quite a lot of drift snow deposits!

Avalanche activity

North

Dry loose snow avalanche (small)

Altitude: 2500 m

Overall impression

Worse

with the predicted warming and precipitation, reassess the situation. will probably get worse over the holidays.
